A 19-page presentation on the Roadmap for the construction of 250,000 low-cost houses to the Adviser to the Prime Minister of Pakistan by HBCL in 2007. The country is facing a massive backlog of housing, estimated at around 7 mn housing units. The shortage is acute, in low and middle-income sections of the population. The Government is working on a comprehensive program to tackle the housing issues, more so for low-income groups (LIG) of the population. HBFC had submitted to GOP its proposals on low-cost housing projects, as part of the Budget Proposals for the year 2007-2008.
