Before taking any action, it is critical to review the current state, identify bottlenecks, and build an effective execution strategy. The central government aims to provide housing to all its citizens by the year 20221. As per our estimate, the vision entails development of about 11 crore housing units, including the current shortage of about 6 crore units2.
