A  document about low-cost housing in hot climate in Nigeria.  The introduction of low cost housing is put in place to allow for affordable housing for low income citizens, and it wouldn’t be a complete package if it is not affordable through the life of the houses provided. When housing takes more than 30 percentage of a family gross income, it is generally considered to be not affordable. Minimize energy use is important in lowering the cost of living condition, and this could only be achieved at the design stage, encouraging passive design in achieving thermal comfort as need to feel thermally comfortable accounts for majority of the energy cost.
