Enhancing Affordable Rental Housing Investment Via an Intermediary and Guarantee

A suitable mechanism for strengthening the private investment in affordable rental housing. The Australian affordable housing sector and specifies implementation requirements for a preferred option. It offers feasible recommendations for a government-facilitated private investment mechanism for affordable rental housing to operate across all states of Australia to combine the strengths and capacity of Australia’s growing superannuation and rapidly professionalizing non-profit housing sector. They are focusing on the role played by Australia’s financial services industry, superannuation, debt securities and banking sectors, and affordable rental sector.
