Rajasthan Avas Vikas & Infrastructure Ltd (RAVIL) has been incorporated on 20.06.1996 (with name Avas Vikas Limited) under Companies Act 1956, with the main objective to promote cost effective technology and exploiting employment potential in the state of Rajasthan. The name of the Agency has been changed to RAVIL on 21st May 2012 and registered with RoC. Erstwhile, Avas Vikas Limited was the subsidiary of Rajasthan Housing Board and upon renaming the Agency is a Govt. of Rajasthan Undertaking.
RAVIL has a well established organisational structure consisting of engineers, architects and other personnel and has the capacity to execute large scale residential projects across the Rajasthan.
Govt of Rajasthan released affordable housing policy 2009 (with focus on EWS & LIG Housing) for urban areas of Rajasthan. Under the above policy, the Govt of Rajasthan has launched a scheme named “SAHBHAGITA AVAS YOJNA”. RAVIL has been appointed as a nodal agency for undertaking above scheme. Under phase I, the construction work for 14 projects have been started and presently all the projects are at various stages of construction. All the above projects are being executed (under Model No. 2 of Affordable Housing Policy) by the Private Developers on Private Land (with incentives to offset land cost for EWS/LIG). Under the above projects, minimum 40% (maximum up to 100% of land area) land to be earmarked for EWS/LIG & remaining land allowed for MIG/HIG/commercial purposes.
