This paper emphasizes the methods of using low-cost housing techniques in India. It provides us a challenge to use the natural materials and their by-product so as to reduce wastage or buy products obtained from industries and environmental pollution. Various natural materials with their property, advantages disadvantages, and their availability have been discussed. The main challenge is to use the materials in structural components for low-cost housing and their adaptation to factors like technical, social, ecological, physical through different products. It encounters the idea of the need for housing in rural India.
