Affordable and Sustainable Housing in Developing Counties by Using Vernacular Architecture
Due to the increase in human population, natural catastrophes, and war, global demand for housing has reached unprecedented levels, which is felt most acutely in developing nations, which have faced disproportionately high demand levels owing to their inherent fragility. The research aims to provide architectural, sociological, and economical alternatives for low-cost house design and to solve connected challenges with appropriate vernacular solutions in Kish Island in Iran and other third-world countries such as Kenya and Bangladesh (Afshar).
