This presentation is based on the formal rental housing in Sub Sahara-Africa. The presentation gives an overview of the residential market its relative size, IHS interventions into the residential market and South African market, causes of avoidance of the residential rental market by investors, and proposals to bring about change as well as the final objective. Lack of transparent track record such as listed funds or independent data (IPD have not measured performance of Residential property in South Africa to date).
