This document is based on the social housing policy for South Africa describing the overall objective of the policy to create an enabling environment for the social housing sector to develop, grow, and deliver at scale. This policy document is an overarching document focusing on the basic principles, framework, and institutional parameters required in the sector to ensure that viable, robust housing institutions are established and operating in the sector. The housing institutions will be able to access different operational programs under this policy.
