Chapter Eight, Alternative Housing Design and Construction Proposals,
Chapter 8 discusses the relevance of alternative building approaches in support of sustainable low-cost residential development. In light of the escalating costs of traditional building materials and the high expectations of those demanding free housing, alternative more economically effective building materials and construction methods should be sought. This chapter would not entail detailed discussions on the countless existing alternatives, but would aim to investigate the aptness of alternatives in low-cost residential development.
Note:
Chapter 8 is the colloquial name given to traffic management livery on vans and road maintenance vehicles. The name comes from the Traffic Signs Manual. Chapter 8 of the manual deals with temporary signs and safety measures, and so covers the type of markings vans and other vehicles require when operating on the road. (Source: Wikipedia)
