Housing is much important and has impacts on the social, physical and mental well being of individuals irrespective of socio-economic status or color. It is the most basic human needs and has no doubt impacted on the health, welfare and productivity of the people. we can see such shortage of needed dwelling units especially in developing countries including Nigeria. In Nigeria population and urbanization are rapidly increased as a result the gap between housing supply and housing demand is very high wider. The Federal Republic of Nigeria said that housing as a right of all Nigerians irrespective of their economic status and religion or tribe. The currently housing stock is grossly too inadequate to meet for the needs of Nigeria’s population due to policy misdirection. An other reason is bureaucratic procedures and increasing land speculation, access to formal land and housing is gradually becoming beyond to the reach the Nigerian people.
