The Government of Indonesia (GOI) through the Ministry of Kimpraswil, Directorate General Housing and Human Settlement, launched a technical assistance project under the World Bank TAP4I project, to develop a new housing policy framework in line with the current development objectives for the country called “Policy Development for Enabling the Housing Market to Work in Indonesia” (abbreviated to HOMI). This report is a summary of the conclusions and recommendations of the main reports produced for the different components of the study by separate consulting teams. It provides the team’s contribution to the development of a new housing policy and strategy for the country, designed to improve the functioning of housing markets and the housing finance system and create effective housing assistance programs and more efficient government housing institutions.
