Modern Methods of Housing Construction

In the capital cities of Australia particularly in Perth, the houses are built by double brick. Some developers have decided to take a cost-benefit analysis of modern methods of construction for the Perth market. As you know that both forms of construction have their strengths and weakness. A cost-benefit model was developed to estimate both sides like financial and economic cost differences between modern construction methods and traditional brick methods. The  Financial costs were measured the direct cost of construction and economic costs included the wider costs to society and new home buyers. In general, the modeling found that in the current market, financial costs for structural frame with cladding were higher than double brick, however, these costs were offset by economic savings associated with the value of additional space created and rental savings.

The crisis of housing, mortgage markets, public-private partnerships, vulnerabilities of housing markets, leverage the private sector’s financial resources, achieving economies of scale and scope, Community land trusts in the state of Georgia, housing in North America, additional space created and rental savings derived from reduced construction timeframes. Although not included in the economic model, indications are that alternative forms are construction are likely to be even more price competitive for two storey homes, and in particular those on small lots.
