The Allen Consulting Group and the Australian Housing and Urban Research Institute (AHURI) have been jointly engaged by the Affordable Housing National Research Consortium to identify issues and options to assist in the development of policies for stimulating private sector investment in affordable housing across Australia.

This report is the third in a series of three reports: The Stage One report identified the magnitude of the affordable housing problem. The Stage Two report provided an assessment of the range of possible mechanisms or approaches to the stimulation of private sector finance for affordable housing. The primary purpose of this report was to establish a short-list of policy options that will achieve this outcome in the most effective way.
