An evaluation of the housing situation in Kerala based on household surveys and case studies from the selected housing schemes. A comparative analysis of the Kerala situation with examples from other parts of the world is also presented in this chapter. The details on household surveys and case studies from selected households are presented in section 4.2 to disclose the real situation of the beneficiary households. This helps in understanding the bottlenecks of poor households on approaching the problem.
