A 52-page document of study on housing microfinance, commissioned by the National Housing Bank (NHB), India,  and the Department for International Development (“DFID”) with the objectives to evaluate the performance of the housing microfinance program (HMF) initiated by the NHB, to conduct a representative study across rural and urban poor and ascertain credit and savings patterns and other relevant information for product design, and to prepare recommendations on scaling up the HMF Program for lower-income and informal sector households, product design and an underwriting guidelines framework for housing microfinance.
