Data collected via questionnaires were analyzed using both descriptive and inferential statistical methods. The findings emphasize that housing is a cross-domain issue that necessitates a multifaceted approach for effective resolution. Sustainable development does tackle the housing challenges in marginalized areas of Mashhad, and the study proposes strategic policy interventions that harness the potential of these regions. It advocates for creating housing models that align with sustainable development principles, especially in Mehregan, where marginalized communities urgently need support. By adopting international standards in urban planning, architecture, and construction practices, this approach can facilitate more flexible and accessible housing solutions. Additionally, promoting development in marginalized areas while revising urban development plans can help integrate low-income groups into the broader urban framework.In conclusion, addressing the housing crisis—particularly for vulnerable populations—requires coordinated efforts from both public and private sectors.
