This report is based on housing micro finance lending course conducted under IFC sponsored Uganda Primary Mortgage Market Initiative. The International Finance Corporation’s (IFC) Uganda Primary Mortgage Market Initiative (UPMMI) project has developed a housing microfinance training program, the Housing Microfinance Lending Course (HMF) – targeted to new and experienced housing finance players. The primary goal of the HMF is to build the capacity of banks and other financial institutions to undertake housing microfinance lending and provide various perspectives in implementing housing microfinance with several examples from Latin America, Asia and Africa. The Housing Microfinance Lending Course was designed to give participants an overview of international best practices in microfinance lending for housing and provide participants with the necessary tools for the implementation of these practices in their financial institutions.
